Since with the Altitude Lux, you’re getting everything the standard trim offers, here’s what you can expect to not change in your upgrade. The standard engine is a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine that can tow up to 4,500 pounds. There is also an optional second powertrain available, a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 270 horsepower that delivers 295 torque and can tow up to 4,000 pounds. The 4x4 drivetrain Jeep owners have come to love is just as powerful as you’d expect on the Cherokee Altitude Lux and provides enhanced traction stability.

The Altitude Lux prides itself on luxury at any altitude, so you can feel confident knowing you can tackle any terrain and weather conditions. If you want to take to the trails, the Altitude Lux is putting that four-wheel drive train to good use with features like the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System and the Active Drive Lock 4x4 System for carefully cultivating what your journey looks like. The 2023 Cherokee is already equipped with a host of tech features that enhance convenience wherever your journey takes you. The Uconnect infotainment system offers easy, hands-free integration with your smartphone through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which offers hands-free music play as well. Blind Spot Monitoring is included as a default on the Cherokee.

This trim takes the Cherokee’s style and features to new heights. On the outside, you’ll be able to find it on the road by its distinctive blacked-out exterior accent that includes gloss black grille surrounds, badging, and roof rails. Inside, you'll find amenities like heated bucket seats, a heated steering wheel, and automatic temperature control to help you focus on the mountain trail instead of where the temperature is headed. This trim also offers the largest infotainment system at 8.4 inches with Uconnect 4C Navigational system included, and the only one with a pinch-to-zoom function. Also, inside the cabin, you’re no longer greeted with cloth, as premium leather is now the standard.

The Altitude Lux also adds a few more safety features not seen on lower trims for your comfort and convenience. This includes some lane-focused technology such as lane sensing capabilities, lane departure warnings, and a lane-keeping assist feature. The Altitude Lux also has adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go function, and a forward collision warning with active braking. Rear crossing detection is great for getting a better sense of what is behind you on the road. If parallel parking isn’t your thing the Altitude Lux has you covered with assistance and full stop function. LED Fog lamps, headlamps, daytime running lamps, and taillamps are all a welcome plus on the Altitude Lux.
